Status
Formerly considered scarce, but widespread records with the use of lures in recent years.

Characteristic horseshoe-shaped whitish blotch on the dorsum, and a fairly distinctive white hindwing with a dark border.

First Norfolk record since 1899 to MV light at Snettisham in 2011 (R. Evison, 01/04/11)
Recorded at Crostwight Heath VC27 in 2014 (M. A'Court, 17/03/14, gen. det. male. J. Wheeler)

Several recent records. Attracted to the SKI, FUN and MOL pheromone lures, intended for other species.

Old records from 1874 to 1899, noted as scarce. (C.G. Barrett)
